Cancer Trials Ireland
Cancer Trials Ireland is the leading cancer research trials organisation in Ireland, dedicated to advancing cancer care through clinical trials. Working with 98% of Ireland’s cancer-treating specialists—including Medical, Surgical, and Radiation Oncologists, Haematologists, Research Nurses, Translational Scientists, and Data Managers—the organisation supports and oversees over 100 active trials involving thousands of patients.
Cancer Trials Ireland collaborates with international research groups such as ECOG, NRG, and ANZUP, as well as global pharmaceutical companies, extending some trials across Europe, such as the NeoAEGIS study. As a not-for-profit registered charity, the organisation is partly funded by the Health Research Board (HRB) and the Irish Cancer Society, with additional support from philanthropic donations and income from trial services provided to industry partners.
Beyond running trials, Cancer Trials Ireland plays a vital role in policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and training for oncology professionals. It is committed to expanding access to cancer trials, improving patient outcomes, and fostering collaboration to ensure Ireland remains at the forefront of cancer research.

Cancer Trials Ireland is proud to be one of the 26 partners from 15 different countries collaborating in this EU Funded project. The organisation is responsible to open and manage the Path4Young trial in Ireland with six hospital sites participating.
