Gustave Roussy<\/h2>\n

Ranked 4th amongst the best specialized cancer centers worldwide, Gustave Roussy is the leading European cancer center. Specializing in rare and complex tumors, it delivers diagnostics and therapies to 50,000 patients will all types of cancer each year. It is also a major European hub for research and teaching, with up to 40% of Gustave Roussy patients participating in clinical trials. The institution embraces concepts such as \u201ccross-boundary working\u201d and \u201cmulti-disciplinary patient management\u201d which were championed by the institution\u2019s founder, Professor Gustave Roussy.<\/p>\n

Two Gustave Roussy teams are participating in the Path-for-young project.<\/p>\n

The Cancer Survivorship team led by Ines Vaz-Luis. This research team focuses on delivering a new generation of cancer survivorship research outputs. By intercepting biology, psycho-social and technology challenges, believing that this research can foster a paradigmatic shift in survivorship care, towards a more personalized, participative, proactive, and equitable care. The overarching goal of this shift is to reduce cancer- and treatment-related symptom burden, improve length and quality of life (QOL) of cancer survivors and minimize the societal burden of cancer.<\/p>\n

The OncoStat unit, led by Stefan Michiels, works on biomarkers and personalized medicine. Recent developments in omics technologies and the arrival of targeted therapies have increased interest in molecular biomarkers able to predict diagnosis, clinical outcome and response to treatment in patients with cancer (diagnostic, prognostic and predictive). Currently, processing next-generation sequencing data and integrating molecular data with clinical epidemiology data are major challenges. The development of personalized medicine implies that tumors be divided according to their molecular characteristics into rarer subcategories, even for common tumors.<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

R\u00f4le<\/span><\/h2>\n

Les chercheurs de Gustave Roussy participent \u00e0 plusieurs lots de travail du projet Path-for-young. Gustave Roussy dirige les lots de travail consacr\u00e9s \u00e0 l'optimisation de la co-cr\u00e9ation et de la repr\u00e9sentation des patients ; \u00e0 la gestion des donn\u00e9es, au plan d'analyse statistique et aux rapports ; aux analyses r\u00e9pondant aux besoins sp\u00e9cifiques des patientes pr\u00e9m\u00e9nopaus\u00e9es ; et \u00e0 l'analyse des crit\u00e8res d'\u00e9valuation cl\u00e9s de l'\u00e9tude. Gustave Roussy sera \u00e9galement \u00e9troitement impliqu\u00e9 dans la gestion du projet tout au long de la dur\u00e9e de l'\u00e9tude Path-for-young. <\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Maria Alice Franzoi
\nResponsable du WP4<\/span> <\/h3>\n<\/h3>\n<\/h3>\n

Maria Alice Franzoi est une oncologue m\u00e9dicale br\u00e9silienne sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans la sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique, la science de l'impl\u00e9mentation et la prise en charge du cancer du sein. Elle a effectu\u00e9 sa formation en m\u00e9decine interne et en oncologie \u00e0 l'Hospital das Cl\u00ednicas de Porto Alegre, au Br\u00e9sil, suivie d'un fellowship et d'un doctorat en oncologie du cancer du sein \u00e0 l'Institut Jules Bordet et \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 Libre de Bruxelles. Actuellement, elle dirige une \u00e9quipe de recherche au sein de l'unit\u00e9 Cancer Survivorship de Gustave Roussy. <\/p>\n

Ses recherches visent \u00e0 co-concevoir avec les patients et les prestataires de soins et \u00e0 mettre en \u0153uvre des parcours de sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique en oncologie afin d'obtenir des soins am\u00e9lior\u00e9s et \u00e9quitables. En r\u00e9organisant les syst\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9, son travail permet aux prestataires de mieux utiliser les donn\u00e9es de sant\u00e9 et aux patients de jouer un r\u00f4le actif dans leurs soins. Elle a dirig\u00e9 d'importantes initiatives en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique, notamment la conception et la mise en \u0153uvre d'un parcours de surveillance \u00e0 distance des sympt\u00f4mes utilisant les ePRO et la navigation infirmi\u00e8re dans les soins de routine dans 110 h\u00f4pitaux en France et en Belgique, ainsi qu'un mod\u00e8le de soins proactifs pour soutenir les survivantes du cancer du sein. <\/p>\n

De plus, ses recherches identifient les facteurs cl\u00e9s influen\u00e7ant l'adoption et l'engagement des patients dans les parcours de sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique, ainsi que la complexit\u00e9 des soins. Le Dr Franzoi est l'investigatrice principale d'essais cliniques explorant des mod\u00e8les de soins innovants int\u00e9grant des th\u00e9rapies num\u00e9riques pour l'autogestion, la capture num\u00e9rique de donn\u00e9es g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es par les patients et des outils facilitant l'\u00e9change de donn\u00e9es pour une meilleure coordination des soins et des r\u00e9sultats \u00e9quitables. Elle s'engage \u00e9galement profond\u00e9ment \u00e0 permettre aux patients d'agir en tant que co-chercheurs dans les essais cliniques et \u00e0 construire des infrastructures pour une recherche d\u00e9centralis\u00e9e et inclusive. <\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Antonio Di Meglio
\nResponsable du WP6<\/span> <\/h3>\n<\/h3>\n

Antonio Di Meglio est un oncologue m\u00e9dical sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 dans la prise en charge des patientes atteintes de cancer du sein, avec une vaste exp\u00e9rience en tant que chercheur clinique dans des contextes acad\u00e9miques internationaux. Sa formation comprend un fellowship de recherche avanc\u00e9e dans le programme d'oncologie du sein au Dana-Farber Cancer Institute\/Harvard Cancer Center, la biostatistique et la programmation \u00e0 la Harvard School of Public Health et Harvard Catalyst, ainsi qu'un doctorat ax\u00e9 sur les aspects comportementaux du cancer du sein pendant et apr\u00e8s le traitement \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 Paris-Saclay. <\/p>\n

Depuis 2017, Antonio est m\u00e9decin-chercheur \u00e0 Gustave Roussy, contribuant au programme Cancer Survivorship en dirigeant des recherches sur les algorithmes de stratification pour guider les parcours de soins de survie personnalis\u00e9s. Ses recherches se concentrent sur l'exploitation de donn\u00e9es longitudinales et multimodales \u2014 incluant des marqueurs biologiques et des r\u00e9sultats rapport\u00e9s par les patients (PROM\/PREM) \u2014 avec un accent principal sur l'\u00e9tude CANcer TOxicity (CANTO) (NCT01993498). En tant que membre du comit\u00e9 scientifique de l'\u00e9tude, il fait progresser les efforts visant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la compr\u00e9hension, la pr\u00e9diction et la gestion des sympt\u00f4mes \u00e0 long terme li\u00e9s aux traitements anticanc\u00e9reux afin de pr\u00e9server la qualit\u00e9 de vie \u00e0 long terme. <\/p>\n

En tant qu'investigateur principal ou co-investigateur de nombreux projets de recherche acad\u00e9mique financ\u00e9s au niveau national et international, Antonio a apport\u00e9 des contributions significatives \u00e0 la recherche en oncologie. Ses travaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s lors de conf\u00e9rences de premier plan, notamment l'ASCO Annual Meeting, le San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, l'ESMO Breast Cancer Congress et l'ESMO Congress. Ses recherches originales ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9es dans des revues \u00e0 fort impact, notamment Annals of Oncology et le Journal of Clinical Oncology. <\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Stefan Michiels

Le Pr Stefan Michiels est directeur du Bureau de biostatistique et d'\u00e9pid\u00e9miologie de la Division de recherche clinique de Gustave Roussy, et directeur de l'\u00e9quipe de recherche Oncostat du CESP, INSERM U1018, Universit\u00e9 Paris-Saclay, Villejuif, France. Ses domaines d'expertise sont les essais cliniques, les m\u00e9ta-analyses, l'analyse des biomarqueurs et les mod\u00e8les de pr\u00e9diction clinique en oncologie. <\/p>\n

Stefan est titulaire d'un doctorat en biostatistique de l'\u00c9cole de sant\u00e9 publique de l'Universit\u00e9 Paris-Sud et de masters en statistique et en math\u00e9matiques appliqu\u00e9es de l'Universit\u00e9 de Louvain. Ses postes pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents incluent l'Universit\u00e9 Libre de Bruxelles - Institut Jules Bordet (chercheur FNRS, Belgique), l'Institut national du cancer (France) et l'Universit\u00e9 de Louvain (Belgique). Il a publi\u00e9 environ 300 articles \u00e9valu\u00e9s par des pairs. Il est actuellement membre du comit\u00e9 de r\u00e9daction d'Annals of Oncology et de NPJ Breast Cancer. <\/p>\n
