Charter of protection of your personal data

The respect of your private life and your Personal Data is a priority for us.
This charter allows us to define the commitments we make to you in the context of the collection, use and storage of your Personal Data.
We may change this policy to better meet your needs. You will then be informed by notification of any changes that may be made.

Some definitions

  • Site means the Internet site that can be viewed from a Web browser and accessible at the URL address: path-for-young.unicancer.fr
  • Personal Data or Data means information that allows, in any form whatsoever, directly or not, to identify you directly (your name, ...) or indirectly (your nickname, an identifier, your IP address, ...).
  • Data controller means the person who defines the type of information collected and the use made of this information. The data controller is the company Unicancer.

  • Cookie(s) designates a small computer file that is automatically installed on the navigation software. These files are temporarily stored on your smartphone/tablet/computer. They may be necessary to allow the use of the Site or, in certain cases, they facilitate its use.
  • Host means the entity that hosts the Data collected. It may be the Data Controller or a subcontractor of the latter.

What are the legal grounds for processing your data?

The legal basis for the processing of your data collected on our site is :

  • Your consent, in particular for canvassing, the placement of analytical and advertising cookies, and contact requests.
  • The pursuit of legitimate interests for the deposit and management of functional cookies to ensure the proper functioning of the site.

We have made every effort to ensure the security of your personal data:

  • We only use your data for the purposes necessary for your browsing, to comply with certain legal obligations, and for certain other purposes to which you have specifically consented;
  • We take great care to protect your data with all appropriate security measures, particularly with regard to hosting, access and confidentiality;
  • We do not share your data with non-legitimate third parties. The only recipients of some of your data are subcontractors acting on our behalf, Authorities for their missions defined by law, or organizations for which you have given us prior consent to distribute.

What Personal Data do we collect?

In strict compliance with the RGPD (General Data Protection Regulation), we collect your Data in order to send you information on our project and trial when you have accepted it or to respond to your request for information. We also collect data related to your connection and navigation.

This data may have been provided to us directly by you via a form or by direct contact (telephone, e-mail, etc.) or may be collected indirectly, via the use of cookies when you browse our Site, provided that you have given your consent.
We collect :

  • identification data: your name, first name, your e-mail address;
  • data relating to the follow-up of the relationship we have with you: requests for information, your connection data (in connection with the Cookies).
    In the context of the forms, the mandatory Data are marked with an asterisk. The other fields of the form are optional and it is up to you to choose if you agree to communicate these data to us which allow us to know you better.

 

What Data is collected via Cookies?

There are several categories of Cookies: "essential" Cookies, "performance" Cookies and "marketing" Cookies.

  • Essential" cookies are cookies that are essential to the operation of the Site. They cannot be disabled but do not store any personal data. By setting functional cookies, we make it easier for you to visit the Site. For example, you do not need to enter the same information repeatedly during your visit.
  • Performance" cookies are cookies that collect data allowing us to establish statistics on visits to the Site, which allows us to continually improve the Site. The information collected is anonymized and does not allow you to be identified.
  • Marketing" cookies: these may be our own cookies or those set by our partners, which enable us to offer you advertising and information relevant to your profile. These cookies collect indirectly identifying data that allows us to target the information. They also allow us to track your activity on the Site or on other sites for similar marketing purposes.

It is up to you to configure the performance and marketing cookies as you wish. None of your data can be retrieved until you make your choices.

Why do we collect your Data?

Your Data is collected to :

  • allow the processing of your request
  • ensure the proper functioning and improvement of the Site
  • offer you the best services
  • allow you to receive our news and invitations
  • allow the management of your rights (for more information: What are my rights?)

Your Data is collected, used and stored in a transparent, confidential and secure manner.

The use of your Data for marketing purposes is based on the consent you give us, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who has access to my Data?

Only our staff and our subcontractors can have access to your Data.

In the context of our missions, we work with partners that may have access to your data. However, the Data is never transmitted to them for their use. The transfer made is punctual and has for only goal to allow us the realization of ourmissions. These subcontractors are in compliance with the GDPR.

The subcontractors with whom we work are in particular: BIG against Cancer.

Under no circumstances will your Data be subjected to a commercial exchange. We do not share, sell, transfer or distribute your Data to third parties, unless required by law.

How long will my data be kept?

The Data collected via Cookies are kept for a period of 13 months. It is not transferred to third parties or used for any other purpose.
The Data collected to provide you with information on the services we offer are kept for a period of 3 years and then deleted if no action is taken on our proposals, or deleted if you request it.

I change my mind

With regard to the data collected via cookies, you can change your mind at any time and decide to modify your settings.
You can also decide at any time not to receive any more information from us. In this case, simply send us an e-mail to pathforyoung-website@unicancer.fr

What are my rights?

The collection of your Data is carried out with respect to your rights. You have the right :

  • to access your Data and the right to have them corrected, completed and updated.
  • to block or delete your Data when you have noticed errors, inaccuracies or the presence of data whose collection, use, communication or conservation would be prohibited;
  • to change your mind at any time and to withdraw your consent to the use of your Data.
  • To request that your Data be retained without being used for a certain period of time (for example when you request a correction of your Data).
  • to object to your Data being used for a specific purpose. In this case, you must explain the reasons for your particular situation that justify your request. However, you can oppose commercial prospecting without any reason.
  • to request the portability of your Data. This is the possibility for you to retrieve your Data in a readable format and to keep them or to transmit them to a third party.
  • to define the fate of your Data after your death. That is to say that you can choose to allow the transmission of your Data to a third party that you will have indicated or on the contrary to prohibit any communication of your Data.

How to exercise my rights ?

For any request related to the exercise of your rights, you just have to send us an e-mail to the address dpo@unicancer.fr.and attach in both cases a copy of your identity card. We will proceed to the examination of your request as soon as possible and will proceed immediately to the deletion of the data of your identity document once your identity is proven.

In the event that you consider that, despite the care taken to reply to you, we have not respected your rights, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL.

Path-for-young Newsletter Information Notice

When you subscribe to the Path-for-young project newsletter, Unicancer[1], as data controller, will collect your email address in order to send you the newsletter. If you participate in the Optima-young clinical trial, your email address will not be linked to your clinical data collected as part of the study under any circumstances. Similarly, Unicancer cannot identify whether or not you are participating in the Optima-young clinical trial.

With your consent, only your email address will be collected and used solely for the purpose of managing newsletter deliveries. It will be stored in a dedicated database in a secure environment located within the European Union.
You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent will result in your email address being removed from the newsletter mailing list, and you will no longer receive the newsletter.

With your consent, your email address will be shared with the Breast International Group (BIG)[2], which will be responsible for sending the newsletter.
Your email address will be kept until you withdraw your consent or until the newsletter is discontinued.
In accordance with the regulations, you have the right to access, rectify, object to, restrict, delete and transfer the data collected about you.
